Taster Sessions

The taster mornings are designed for you to have a go at various aspects of pottery. There will be an opportunity to try hand building and throwing on the wheel.

You will be able to choose 2 or 3 pieces which can be fired and glazed after the session.

This process can take up to month, we will let you know when they are ready for you to collect.

Postage will cost extra, unfortunately pieces can only be kept for 2 months due to storage capacity.

Pottery Experience Day

The experience day will allow you to immerse yourself in trying out your skills in hand building, throwing on the wheel and also turning your work. There will be the time to discuss the further processes undertaken for your pieces to reach completion.

The day last from 10am until 5pm, including time to reflect upon your work and how you might choose to progress further.

Lunch is not provided but there will be tea, coffee and snacks provided through the day.

On-going Pottery Courses

These courses are designed for those who would like to learn about the pottery process in a more in-depth way.

You will learn how to become responsible for your clay preparation, recognise the different stages at which the clay becomes suitable for a variety of techniques and spend time honing your skills in the craft.

Each course can be taken on its own or as an ongoing journey with clay, continuing through the terms.

You will have the opportunity to be both guided in this path and also to follow your own interests.

We are also able to accommodate private groups, whether it is a special occasion, a group of friends or family who would like to learn together.

Learning a new skill and tactile hands on making is a great way to get to know one another and break down barriers. Many companies recognise that away days such as a pottery experience can help their team creatively, professionally and personally. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss options.
